Instructions
1: In a kettle or pot, start heating up your 3/4 cup water. 2: Meanwhile, prepare your Vietnamese coffee maker by scooping 2 tbsp of Cafe Du Monde coffee grounds into the bottom portion of the maker. You need to twist off the insert before adding the grounds. 3: Attach the coffee maker insert once the grounds are added. Do not twist on the insert too tight or the water will not be able to drip through later. Stop twisting once you notice slight resistance. 4: In a small cup that will hold the coffee drip, add 2 tbsp of condensed milk. 5: Place the coffee maker on top of the small cup. 6: Once the kettle/pot boils, slowly add about 1 tbsp of water into the coffee maker first. This will help the coffee bloom. 7: Once the 1 tbsp of water finishes seeping through the maker, add the remainder of the boiling water to the coffee maker (it should top the coffee maker). Add the lid of the coffee maker. 8: Allow the water to finish seeping through the coffee grounds - should take between 3-5 minutes. 9: Remove the coffee maker from the small cup. Using a spoon, slowly stir the coffee with the condensed milk until it's well combined. 10: Pour the combined coffee and condensed milk mixture in the small cup into the large cup with ice. Combine well and serve.View original recipe
